About Tamaasha

TAMAASHA– Small Spaces, Big Ideas!

Tamaasha is an exciting theatre company that looks to explore new texts, new ideas, new talent, and new venues for performance. We have had successful seasons at Avenue 29 in Santa Cruz, F2 in Khar West, shows in Ahmedabad, at
Sudarshan Rangamanch in Pune, and at Kusumagraj Pratishthan in Nasik. We continue to network with other venues across the city, including bars and libraries! Our performances are exclusively developed for these spaces, and we hope to engage with, and provoke, discerning audiences with our style of theatre.

Tamaasha also engages with a wider idea of theatre through initiatives such as Theatre Jams where we create a supportive space for actors, writers, and directors to share their work with peers, and Reading Theatre, a series of readings of milestone Indian theatre texts.

Or women. The best poets wait for words.”!

Your skin the bright, sharp line!
That I must travel to.”!

Abuse him, slap him in the cheek and pummel him …!
Call nobody too young, nobody too green to shag, lay them one and all”!
